Ripoll - Bruguera
DESCRIPTION: We would divide this section into 3 zones: the plain, the climb and the descent. The first zone, the flattest, is the one that links Ripoll with Campdevànol along the Camí Ral de Ripoll a la Cerdanya, it runs almost parallel to the Ctra. N260 until the industrial area before reaching Campdevànol. It is not at all shiny or interesting, so much so that we often skip these first Km and start directly on the track that leaves from the foot of the Càmping del Ripollès. This is where the second zone begins, the climb. On a wide track and very good walking we go up through the woods of the Muiols stream in a northerly direction until we reach the foot of the Serra de St. Amand where we will turn left to pass through the Coll de Canyamar, Sant Julià del Saltor and the Coll del Saltor. We will enjoy very good views as we go up, the most visually beautiful part. Once at Coll del Saltor, we have to find a path on the right that will take us down to Bruguera, it is a bit hidden, there used to be a signpost. If we continued down the track, we would come out onto the N260 road and it would not be worth the effort of the climb. Here begins the third area, the descent and note that at times it is quite steep. We have left the track and we go along a narrow and slightly elevated path that does not give a feeling of vertigo due to the trees that surround it, but it must be done with caution. Before reaching Torrent Roig we find a track that we will leave when we reach Coll de la Portella, where we will go down steeply again along a path. In case of rain, be careful, it is slippery, if it is dry the descent is fine. We will leave the Serrat Roig neighborhood and a little further on we will reach the Cal Nasi bridge just before entering Bruguera.
